I made a huge mistake once and picked up a girl for a date on the wrong night, I knocked on the door and someone opened it and the house was full…turns out her parents were hosting an engagement party for their niece that night! I called the shadchan, and the date was the next night 🤣 I tried to leave right away until someone started taking to me, and I got stuck in the conversation for like 20 minutes, hoping she wouldn’t see me. We dated for a while, and I ended up telling her, and she said nobody in her family noticed, and she hoped I took some food and drink and enjoyed the simcha! It was definitely a funny mix up
